Let me tell you this – Katy Perry is no Betty Page. Or Betty Grable. A pin up has to have something more than just the willingness to put it out there… And Greg Theakston has it all over this Cotton fella.

I beg to differ- Will Cotton has some amazing work! Not to mention that he makes all of the desserts from scratch to paint from. The man has skill and uses his paint like creamy butter.
Chexk out some of his other work. It might change tour mind.

But isn’t that the point of Flavorpill? make you want to know more about an artist. I get it, it’s sweet girls on a sweet dessert. But this doesn’t make me want to visit this guys website or watch a 50 minute lecture. I agree the first few comments too much Katy Perry.

eh. really the only thing that comes to mind is how much we equate women’s bodies with something to be desired and consumed, like a piece of candy. this artist takes advantage of the long-standing tradition in art to present the nude female form and combines it with our human cravings for the sweet and sugary. His art is a boring attempt at a discussion of our desires. It’s a little perverse, this food porn of his, but nothing grand.

I don’t get the appeal with Katy Perry. She’s a contrived pop star that will be gone soon. No longevity or serious talent.
