Dave Seville, Alvin and the Chipmunks

Okay, who is this Dave guy really? Why does he let three musically inclined chipmunks live in his home? He certainly isn’t their dad. And lastly, why does Dave look exactly like Eric from The Little Mermaid?

Dave takes care of the chipmunks because their mother couldn’t take care of them anymore and left them on his doorstep. Lol, totally remember that scene from the old movies/episodes. The mom comes back and explains it all but the kids decide to stay with Dave :) But good call on the Eric from the Little Mermaid!

dave actually came before eric. but when they updated the animation they made him look more eric like. they also gave the boys blue eyes too.

RE: Toy Story – think about basically any Disney movie. There is rarely more than one parent., except 101 Dalmations and maybe Lady and the Tramp. I might be missing some but think of Beauty and the Beast, Alladin, etc.
