wow. stunning work.

No wonder his screen translations are so incredible–he learned from the ground up.

Indeed. Woderful pictures. But… first of all, I think none of them were taken with the “paper bag” camera. Second, it was not a paper bag this kind of camera. Should be a shoe box or something similar. The hole was a pin hole and the exposures were necessarily very long exposures. No doubt Kubrick uses that device but certainly not for this staged pictures taken during the movies shooting.

number 5 looks like dr strangelove

Stanley Kubrick was NOT a poor boy from The Bronx. His father was a doctor and he lived on the Grand Concourse. Today people seem to think they can write anything without resorting to things like facts. Just because he came from The Bronx (the correct spelling BTW) doesn’t automatically mean he was poor. Poor boys from The Bronx didn’t have fancy 35mm cameras. Do a little research before writing something.

Definitely a genius. The best! But…”Poor kid?” What? With a Doctor dad and a Pharmacist uncle, and a Leica around his neck? Uh uh…
Somebody didn’t check facts.
