TV’s Best ’90s Teen Power Couples

29

Ah, to be young and in love on a ’90s television series. So much tension, so much betrayal, so many make-ups and too many break-ups. Remember that time Jordan Catalano enlisted Brian Krakow to secretly write his love letter for Angela Chase? Or when D.J. Tanner accused Steve Hale of canoodling with an ex-girlfriend at the school dance? What about when Steve Urkel transformed into Stefan Urquelle in order to win Laura’s heart? Most ’90s teenage relationships were trivial, others lasted seasons upon seasons, but we’re recalling the ones that still make us giddy — the ones that we thought, at one point or another, were meant to be. Take a trip down TV’s memory lane with some ’90s teenage power couples after the jump, and let us know in the comments whose relationship made you the most envious.

Angela & Jordan, My So-Called Life

Ladies and gentlemen, may we present to you the king and queen of the Liberty High School boiler room — Miss Angela Chase and Mr. Jordan Catalano. Although Jordan was reluctant to be seen in public with our dear Angela, this My So-Called Life couple dazzled our ’90s TV screens with their ups and downs and awkward silences. Honorable mention: Rayanne Graff and the ever elusive lead singer of Frozen Embryos, “Tino.”

Cory & Topanga ftw.

No Doogie Howser & Wanda Plenn? Rubbish!!

Hahaha. The Power Rangers one made me laugh at work. Oh man

Cory & Topanga all the way !

Wow, you are effing crazy. Putting DAWSON AND JOEY as a “top power couple”??? Extraordinary listmaking FAIL. News flash: everyone in the world hated Dawson and loved Pacey. Turn in your 90′s card RIGHT THIS INSTANT. This entire list is invalid.

Can we really call Jordan and Angela a couple? And for the record, that show does not stand the test of time.

THANK YOU DONNA.

EVERYBODY with eyes, ears, and a soul knows Dawson is the worst. But I guess since Dawson and Joey ended up together, I understand…OH WAIT. THEY DIDN’T.

PACEY AND JOEY FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRR.

OH MAN, WALTER. I WAS JUST GONNA WRITE THAT.

Amen, Walter. Amen.

@Walter, Michaela, Ron, & Donna: EVERY WORD YOU WROTE IS TRUE.

Also once I was at a Duane Reade in NYC and Pacey was buying condams and he smile at me so I think thats how I got pregnant.

Kevin and Winnie. Early ’90s, but my vote for best of the whole decade.

You forgot Bert and Ernie

Guess I’m not the only one who was for Dawson and Joey…

Angela en Jordan !!!!! Love them ! Love my so called life, STILL and Tino was always talked about, never visible.. loved that.. mystery. Rayanne Graff was some personality. :)

Ohhh… zack and kelly hands down…. and the power rangers were a great addition to the list ;)

Kevin and Winnie for sure, but what about Darlene and David from Roseanne? And no Cosby Show mention at all?

A little peeved about Kevin & Winnie not on here! remember when he saw her in her gogo boots haha ;)

Buffy and Angel.
Will they? Won’t They? They aren’t anymore? We took every step of that crazy ride.

Anybody? Anybody?

@Jess- You are 100% right! Just cause Darlene grew up to dig chicks and David grew up to dig…well, himself, that shouldn’t lead to their exclusion on this list.

where are CORY & TOPANGA? :(

YES Buffy and Angel! I hear ya, Kathleen.

90210 Dylan & Kelly became even more popular with fans then Dylan and Brenda… I’m just saying…

YES, Buffy and Angel. And even Willow and Oz!

Ok I haven’t even seen past the first picture yet, but Rayanne and Tino were never a couple!

The reason it’s Joey and Dawson on here, and should have been on the series as well is that PACEY WAS TOO GOOD FOR JOEY. Fin.

No votes for Doogie and Wanda? For shame.

JOSLYN, YOU CAN EAT IT.

Erm..Tommy and Kimberly clearly belong together? HELLO? Did you NOT watch the episode where Kimberly told Tommy, via LETTER, that she was dumping him for somebody else? Yeah, thought you might wanna know that. Do your research people.

@David totally agree just read your comment on RB but the Turbo movie kinda did a little back track.

From your list, the only ones I agree with are Zack & Kelly and Cory & Topanga.

I think Buffy and Angel should definitely be on that list though. They are in a lot of Overall Best TV Couples Lists, including TVGuide.

But I can’t believe nobody’s mentioned my personal favourite TV Couple from the 90′s. That is, HARVEY & SABRINA. They were a wonderful couple and Harvey was the sweetest, most understanding boyfriend to Sabrina.
