At first glance the images in David Meskhi’s Sport School series look like discarded Cold War-era relics, the kind of vintage treasures that you’d discover while digging through bins at a flea market. In reality, these black and white photographs of gymnasts in training were all snapped by the Berlin-based, Georgian photographer back in the early aughts.
