This may expose the total sci-fi nerd in us (or maybe that ship has sailed), but we were overcome with pleasant nostalgia when we saw these Philip K. Dick covers from the early 1990s over at artist Gavin Rotherty’s blog. Illustrator Chris Moore’s intense images glow with weird, shiny tension, and his colorful worlds are a perfect match for Dick’s intricate, metaphysical prose — not to mention that he’s a serious master of the epic sandscape. Looking at these illustrations makes us want to fill our bookshelves with nothing but Dick novels — so long as they can have these covers. Click through to see a few of our favorites, and then head on over here to see what must be close to the full collection.

At least ONE of these is not a cover for a Dick novel, but a Bester novel. That leads me to suspect that there are more than one.
The first image in the set (the girl with the helmet) is from William Gibson’s Burning Chrome
Why can’t they all be on the same page? Why do I have to click 14 times. It’s ridiculous.
Most of these are not PKD’s. They have over 800 covers of books in various versions for various languages at http://www.philipkdick.com/works_covers.html and I see only three or four images in common between the official PKD site and the Chris Moore collection you reference at Gavin Rothery’s site. Of course, since there are always new editions coming out, there can never be a complete list of all covers ever done for all of the books written by PKD, but this is the most authoritative collection I have seen.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s really good artwork here, and few of the covers for PKD books can be said to be of equal or superior quality. The issue is that there is relatively little overlap between the two.
Oh, and the link to get all your images on a single page is most appreciated. Thanks!
