Mike Stilkey’s Wonderfully Whimsical Book Paintings

Share:

We’ve been fans of LA-based book artist Mike Stilkey for quite a while now, so we were psyched when My Modern Met clued us in about his new exhibition, Full of Smiles and Soft Intentions, which went up this month in Hong Kong’s Times Square. The show, which runs through August 5th, is filled with paintings, collages, and of course, Stilkey’s famous painted book sculptures, including one amazing, 24-foot creation featuring a severe looking woman holding a pink cat. Click through to see a few of our favorite pieces from the show, and then be sure to head over to Stilkey’s website to learn more about him, and LeBasse Projects to learn more about the exhibit.
