What’s On at Flavorpill: The Links That Made the Rounds in Our Office

Today at Flavorpill, we found out who is the most stalkable on Facebook. We examined a few amazing, transparent animals. We spotted some crazy tattoos of politicians’ faces. We watched a video remix from Eclectic Method, inspired by the work of Spanish film director Pedro Almodóvar. We got a few pop culture tips on making a good first impression at school, which is something we’ve been practicing a lot lately. We watched one baby react to today’s confusing weather. We were happy to see our friends at BuzzFeed launched their new LGBT vertical. We streamed Bob Dylan’s new album, Tempest. We sampled the best science fiction of the year, collected from the Hugo Award winners. We saw a new photo of Emily Dickinson… maybe. We browsed Jennifer Egan’s top ten book list. We read the scribbles of Michael Jackson’s hand-written list of corrections for a show. We watched one man’s 12.5 years of self-portraits in under eight minutes. We contemplated the etymology and meaning of the “A” in the expression, “F*ckin’ A.” And finally, we weren’t sure how to feel about McDonald’s vegetarian-only restaurant. The first one is planned to open in northern India, where the chain is already serving meat-free foods like their number one seller: the potato-based McAloo Tikki burger.
