For Sale: An Exact Replica of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion

With the possible exception of Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion was always our favorite Disneyland attraction. But the thought of living inside of an exact replica of the classic ride? We’re curious who would find that idea appealing. Enter: Disney contractor Mark Hurt, who built a 10,000-square-foot, seven-bedroom home based on the Haunted Mansion back in 1996. Today, he’s asking $873,000 for the house, which is located in Duluth, Georgia, through a web site called Theme Park Connection.

“The details start with an original Haunted Mansion Gate sign at the front with the four iconic pillars welcoming you to the home with the authentic green hand-welded iron railings,” reads the listing. “Even on the roof, there are the four faux smoke stacks that match the Disneyland Haunted Mansion to a tee.” They also point out that Hurt measured the real mansion to ensure his dimensions were just right, and even used the same foundry that Walt Disney did to make the iron for the house. Inside, things get even more interesting; when you wash your hands in the first floor bathroom, the lights flicker, and an animated ghost magically appears in the mirror. Curious to see more?
