Why Again Is Bruno Mars Hosting 'SNL'?

If you too were a bit confused when it was announced that Bruno Mars would be both the musical guest and the host of this week’s SNL — an honor that’s usually reserved for industry legends, contemporary artists who are so popular that Lorne Michaels just can’t help himself (we’re looking at you, Taylor Swift), and Justin Timberlake — then you probably won’t walk away from these new promos feeling very enthused. Sure, Mars has won a Grammy and he seems pleasant enough in that hat, but come on: this one of the last episodes before the election, which is like Saturday Night Live Christmas. The show should be sending in a heavy hitter, not a first timer who’s not even a comedic actor. Or maybe we’re being too judgmental. Take a look and let us know what you think.
