We find UK-based illustrator Matthew Lyons’ fictional screen captures of movie title screens just as inspiring as the real thing. Thanks to a muted color palette coupled with geometric shapes, his retro-inspired minimalist artwork has an otherworldly feel that cleverly manages to sidestep kitsch. There is a very clever and creative feeling to these images. I would almost dub them sci-fi esque but instead I believe they require a new language.
