Last night we met Kenny Powers of HBO’s latest comedy series Eastbound & Down, played by scene-stealer Danny McBride of Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder fame. [Editor's note: We love him the most in the 2003 indie, All The Real Girls, and we'd argue that he's the only thing that makes Pineapple Express bearable.] Kenny is a man with a dream. The second season of Flight of the Conchords premiered yesterday on Funnyordie.com. If you haven’t seen it yet and you’re anything like us, you’re only wondering one thing — is it worth trying to secretly watch this at work without getting caught by my boss? Today at Flavorpill when we were supposed to be busy working… we met JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell and Adolf Hitler Campbell — unfortunately they’re real and we’re glad they don’t get birthday cake; we experienced a little vicarious holiday cheer courtesy of Word Theatre; we read about ourselves in Fortune; we loved The Onion for being negative Nancys and compiling an exhaustive list of the worst films of 2008; we marked our Outlook calendars for tomorrow’s Season 2 premiere of Flight of the Conchords on Funnyordie.com; we made shocking number of really silly anagrams; we got behind the idea of a cheese bailout; and finally, we discovered Al Latta and the magic of his ’70s-inspired Winter Wonderland.
