This month has brought a lot of snow to the Northeast. We’ve seen fine snow. We’ve seen chunks of snow. We’ve seen mushy snow. We’ve even seen sideways snow. And this installment of Found Photo Fridays comes bearing even more of the stuff. After yesterday’s announcement that next season would be Oprah’s last, the media world was engorged with Oprah debate this morning. Was she really going to quit daytime TV? Or was she simply going to bring the syndicated show over to her newly-launched OWN network? More importantly, who was going to replace her after a 25-year run? Rather than ponder the unanswerable, we thought: why not just make her the word prompt for our latest installment of Flickr Found Photo Fridays?

The Times of London reports that Lucy Vodden, childhood classmate of Julian Lennon and the inspiration behind the Beatles’ “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,” died last week at the age of 46. According to the back story, Lennon was only four years old when he brought home a drawing of his kaleidoscope-eyed classmate with stars surrounding her head. When Senator Ted Kennedy died Tuesday night, some say Camelot went with him. The moniker for King Arthur and the knights of the round table was originally applied to the Kennedy family by Jackie Kennedy herself soon after JFK’s death.
