Thanks to Bored Panda we came across the work of Peter Callesen, an artist who creates amazingly intricate sculptures out of single sheets of paper. “It is probably the most common and consumed media used for carrying information today, but we rarely notice the actual materiality of the A4 paper,” he explains. “[It] is perhaps as close to nothing as you can get. Using this worthless material gives me as artist a greater freedom to deal with heavy subjects and to fill the paper with more dramatic stories.” Click through to check it out.
