Last night Vulture reported that Starz would be taking Party Down off of Netflix’s “Watch Instantly” service at some point today. We made it through five wonderful and brilliant episodes from season two before they hit the kill switch. Now it’s impossible to see the current season unless you subscribe to Starz, which let’s face it, you don’t. To make matters worse, the DVD version has an indefinite release date. We suppose that we’re just going to have to cross our fingers and hope that the Party Down movie that the cast is apparently on board for ends up happening sooner rather than later — if at all. (See another of Rob Thomas’ shows that died too soon, Veronica Mars.) Granted, it can’t hurt that Paul Rudd was a producer on the dearly departed series.
