Video of the Day: Futuristic Dream Cars


Watching this nine-minute “Design for Dreaming” spot from the 1956 General Motors Motorama makes us wonder: will people find commercials for the iPhone just as silly 50 years from now? Probably. But we’re also willing to bet that they won’t find them half as entertaining as watching a woman in pink pajamas that magically transform into an evening gown sing about all of the cars that she wants. As Don Draper would say, “Nostalgia — it’s delicate, but potent.”
