Today at Flavorpill, we watched Stormtroopers do “Singin’ in the Rain.” We toured the system of trash-sucking tubes running beneath the surface of New York City’s Roosevelt Island. We met Scala & Kolacny Brothers, the 60-person Belgian girls choir whose haunting cover of “Creep” is featured in the trailer for The Social Network. We enjoyed The Book Bench’s Steven Slater-inspired sampling of books by flight attendants. We hoped that this handy map will help put the “Ground Zero Mosque” debate to a much-needed rest. We wanted to smell like the Sex Pistols — a “fresh, restless bite of lemon, sharpened and intensified by a defiant black pepper.” We wished that we lived in one of the world’s best countries. We listened to a 25-track history of dubstep. We were surprised by how many Ramona Flowers wannabees there are out there. And finally, we couldn’t decide whether we’d rather play with these cakes or devour them. How about you?
