Today at Flavorpill, we laughed out loud while reading a new site called Splitsider — which by the by, we find much easier to pronounce than The Awl. We loved @English50cent, a Twitter feed of 50 Cent’s tweets translated into the Queen’s English. We listened to 9-year-old Willow Smith’s new song, “Whip My Hair.” We discovered that Lady Gaga’s raw meat bikini and hat combo on the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan wasn’t so original. We decided that TLC’s new reality show Sister Wives looks like it’s going to be way better than Big Love. We were creeped out by speed bumps that look like children at play. We wondered if our excitement over the fact that Amy Poehler is hosting the season premiere of Saturday Night Live should be canceled out by the fact that Katy Perry is the musical guest. We watched the awesome trailer for an animated film collaboration between street art brother/sister duo Os Gemeos and Russian clown artist Slava Polunin. We were on Team Gunn. And finally, we were blown away by the Insane Clown Posse’s latest video for a song called “Juggalo Island.” It’s a place that we never ever want to visit.
