Today at Flavorpill, we said goodbye to our sassy friend Defamer. Well, only sort of. But it still made us sad. We listened to this new track from multi-instrumentalist Caroline Weeks from Bat for Lashes. We wished we had been able to study The Sopranos back in college. We laughed at the McSweeney’s take on wedding photographers. We refrained from reinforcing our diluted sense of self on Twitter, choosing to brush our hair in the mirror while repeating self affirmations instead. We examined the (flawed) architecture of the Oscars and the best livebloggery from the night. We watched Milk screenwriter Dustin Lance Black’s acceptance speech on YouTube and it made us cry. We freaked out to discover the Platts are related and then squirmed at the term “octodaddy”. We wondered how the NEA stimulus money will get doled out. And finally, we were bowled over by the bravery/creepiness of these two guys who stalked the Real Shaq into a diner.
