Looking for some lunch-hour viewing? You could certainly do worse than “Your Lucky Day,” directed by Dan Brown — no, not the mediocre best-selling author, the Seattle filmmaker who has worked with Nike and did the credits for House. The 15-minute short, set almost entirely in a convenience store, is a cross between an action thriller, a Shakespearean tragedy, and that Lost subplot about Hurley’s lottery curse. But, most importantly, it stars Rider Strong, of Boy Meets World renown and now a filmmaker in his own right, as the kind of man Shawn Hunter might have grown up to become, had he never met the Matthews family.
