Collaborations between the music and fashion worlds are nothing new, but in the past few years, it seems we can’t go a week without hearing about a new musician-designed sneaker. Today, our friends at Tiny Mix Tapes point us to the final pair of shoes in Animal Collective’s mini-collection for Keep. Panda Bear’s camo kicks aren’t just fetching — they’re also for a good cause, with proceeds benefiting the Socorro Island Conservation Fund.
Inspired by the wide range of musicians creating sneakers, we’ve put together a diverting game. After the jump, we collect 10 pairs that represent collaborations between artists and footwear brands, with acts ranging from major hip-hop stars to a former member of The Smiths to a well-known indie record label — including the shoes designed by Panda Bear’s three AnCo band mates.
