Horribly sad news: Aretha Franklin has been diagnosed with cancer. Although the news was originally broken by The National Enquirer, a publication that is often more “truthy” than truthful, a source close to Franklin’s family has confirmed it. The Enquirer‘s claim that the diva’s cancer is of the pancreatic, terminal variety hasn’t been substantiated, but it certainly has us worried.
