If you’re a David Mitchell (or Run Lola Run brothers) fan, you may already know that Tom Tykwer is writing the screenplay for Cloud Atlas. And he’s set to direct it. Or wait, are the Wachowski brothers directing it? Or are they just producing it?
Some clarity, courtesy of Natalie Portman: “they’re directing it together, the three of them.” That is, if the project gets the financing it needs. We’re trying to be optimistic here, but this trio doing Cloud Atlas? Between the “too many cooks” concern and the areas where these filmmakers tend to excel, we’re a little bit nervous.
