Dan Savage Films Pilot for MTV

Things may have just gotten a lot more controversial for MTV: Entertainment Weekly reports that advice columnist Dan Savage is working on a pilot for the network that sounds a lot like Loveline, which it aired from 1996 until 2000. According to EW, the show “follows Savage as he tours college campuses giving his brand of brutally honest (and sometimes graphic) sex and relationship advice.” We actually think that this is a great thing; as the founder of the incredibly successful It Gets Better Project, Savage has demonstrated that the he understands how to speak to a younger demographic in a way that’s engaging but substantive. Plus, we find him a lot more appealing in the role of advice giver than Adam Carolla or Dr. Drew. Any thoughts?
