In the Future There Will Be Skyscraper Theme Parks
For some reason we’ve always found the idea of indoor roller coasters incredibly exciting — it probably has something to do with the fact that the Mall of America opened when we were at an incredibly impressionable age. As we have no plans to visit Minnesota anytime soon, you can understand why we find New York architect Ju-Hyun Kim’s plans for a skyscraper theme park so thrilling, if a little out there.
Like any good park, it has a roller coaster, log flume, carousel, and Ferris wheel, and by eliminating the need for long drives and massive parking lots, it’s eco-friendly to boot. Click through to get a better look at some of Kim’s sketches.
