Video of the Day: Roald Dahl’s 1961 Sci-Fi TV Series ‘Way Out’

If you’re a fan of both The Twilight Zone and Willy Wonka, have we got a treat for you. Back in 1961, Roald Dahl hosted his very own sci-fi/mystery TV series called Way Out. While Dahl only wrote the premiere, “William and Mary” (which was adapted from a story in the author’s 1960 collection Kiss Kiss), he opened each episode with a brief, funny/creepy monologue. Internet Archive has five of the brilliant-but-canceled show’s 14 episodes; it seems that the other nine are only viewable at the Paley Center in New York and LA Watch “William and Mary” after the jump.
