Wanted: The iPad 2 Gold History Edition

Liverpool-based designer Stuart Hughes — who in the past has put his luxurious spin on MacBooks, iPhones, and other gadgets — has now created what he’s calling the iPad 2 Gold History Edition. Weighing in at more than four pounds, the device is made from 75 million year old Ammolite, which has been smoothed by a splintered 65 million year old thigh bone from a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Yes, we’re totally serious. It’s also embellished with a number of precious stones, including a single 8.5ct flawless diamond on the back that’s surrounded by 12 additional diamonds. The price for all of this wonderment? £5,000,000. If you’re interested, better snatch it up fast, because only two have been made. [via Incredible Things]
