1. Despite the fact that Warner Bros. dropped over $100 million to make and market Zack Snyder’s latest film, Sucker Punch, kiddie sequel Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Rodrick Rules actually ended up winning the weekend box office, raking in an estimated $24.4 million in ticket sales. [via NYT]

2. Speaking of Snyder, the Los Angeles Times reports that Academy Award-nominee Amy Adams will play Lois Lane in his Superman reboot.

3. Sarah Lane, the American Ballet Theatre soloist who acted as Natalie Portman’s dancing double in Black Swan has come out with the claim that only “5% of the full-body twirling shots” in the film feature Portman, and she wants more credit. Meanwhile Portman’s fiancé and the film’s choreographer, Benjamin Millepied, says that number is more like 85%, and Fox Searchlight (no surprise) is on his side. [via WSJ]

4. Former White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs may be joining Facebook in “a senior role in helping to manage the company’s communications” instead of setting up President Obama’s re-election campaign, as was planned. [via Gawker]

5. Exciting news for Doctor Who fans: Matt Smith, the current Doctor, has agreed to return for 2012’s Season 7, and there’s a rumor he’ll be staying on the show through 2013. Check out a trailer for episode one of Season 6 here.
