After a decade-long manhunt, Osama Bin Laden was captured and killed on Sunday by a team of Navy SEALs. Celebrations erupted around New York and across the country. Immediately after the location of Osama’s hideout was made public, the compound began to accrue dozens of satirical reviews on Google. The history making event was met with a broad range of reactions on Twitter and Facebook, from jubilation, to pure rage-inducing ignorance. Among the worst reactions were those from teens too young to remember the pre-9/11 world. As with any major news story, reactions also inspired thousands of hilarious image macros and internet memes. No later than doubters began demanding to see pictures of the body did an image of a dead Osama emerge. Later, the image proved to be fake.
