Quentin Tarantino might be one of our generation’s most famous directors, but he isn’t exactly known for his acting skills. That’s probably what makes his 1996 response to Sarah, a 13-year-old fan of his performance as a psychotic killer in Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn, so endearing. Well, that and the fact that someone known for his incredibly violent output is obviously a big ol’ teddy bear in real life; Tarantino not only encourages her to check out the work of Italian horror filmmaker Mario Bava, he also says that he can’t for Sarah to get her own hands on a camera some day.
