This Week in Buzz

Editor’s note: Each Friday, our internet-savvy friends over at BuzzFeed curate a post for us that’s filled with links to some of their favorite items on the web that week. Enjoy!

This week, using Google Insights, we measured the regional interest in the term “hipster” and found out that Minnesota was the most hipster state in the US, just ahead of New York and Oregon.

We came across a handy infographic that will help ladies figure out whether or not they’re wearing pants. (Hint: if you really need an infographic to figure this out, then you’re probably not.)

We started looking for gray hairs, thanks to this list of 40 facts that will make you feel even older than you are. It includes the disturbing fact that Bart Simpson would be 31 and the Rugrats kids would all be in their 20s today — you know, if they were non-cartoons and actually aged.

Luckily, this list of 25 celebrities who’re older than you thought helped calm us down. So did a fun feature on 20 celebrities who used to be hot. (Did you realize that Christopher Walken was once a baby-faced youth with a four-pack?!)

We also realized that being old isn’t so bad when you remember how dumb kids today are. Sh*t My Students Write makes this pretty clear.

The New York Times made the nerdiest correction to ever appear in their sports section. Spoiler alert: It involves Bilbo Baggins.

And finally, we rounded up 20 of the most ridiculous hats from the Kentucky Derby. While they may not exactly compete with the hats seen at the Royal Wedding, they certainly deserve their own episode of What Not To Wear.
