What’s On at Flavorpill: The Links That Made the Rounds in Our Office

Today at Flavorpill, we mourned Grease star Jeff Conaway, who died today at 60. We watched Lady Gaga zipline across Central Park to perform on Good Morning America. We weren’t sure whether to laugh or cry about how many people think The Onion is real news. We rejoiced at the announcement that Godspeed You! Black Emperor will be recording their first album since 2002. We were sufficiently creeped out by Voldemort in this new poster for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. We learned what Hipster Ariel cosplay looks like and perused a kitschy gallery of art on black velvet. We wished Siouxsie Sioux a happy birthday. We enjoyed the A.V. Club’s speculation on what their favorite dead artists would have done if they’d lived. And finally, we put off our Memorial Day weekend cocktails a few hours, to protest the acquittal of two NYPD cops on rape charges, despite damning evidence against them. If you’re in New York City, we hope you’ll join us. The demonstration begins at 5pm at Manhattan Criminal Court.
