As Gizmodo reports, back in the ’80s, before Matt Groening became a household name with The Simpsons, he created a clever, illustrated “student’s guide” for potential Mac users as part of a gig that he had with Apple. Maybe this explains why references to the brand pop up so frequently on the series (our favorite: when Ned Flanders wins a FeMac in a rubber duck racing contest and gives it to Marge in exchange for free babysitting). Click through to find out what it looks like when these two cultural icons collide, but don’t be surprised if you recognize a bit of yourself in a few of his student “archetypes.”
