Hi, can I follow you? Will you be my friend? To promote Nico Muhly‘s newest production Two Boys, “a new opera that lifts the lid on the dangers of living our lives online,” the English National Opera sent an emissary out to interact with the real world as if it were Facebook and Twitter. Hilarity, obviously, and possible defriending ensues. It gives us cause to stop and think about our digital practices: if digital interaction is the new face-to-face interaction, shouldn’t we have the same reservations in the social media world as we do in the social world? Well, we’ll soon find out. Two Boys will run from June 24 to July 8 at the London Coliseum. Watch the video after the jump!
