Photo Gallery: 'Invader 1000' at La Générale

Share:

In celebration of his 1,000th mosaic in Paris, French street artist Invader just launched a career retrospective at La Générale last week. The survey — which presents a mixture of the pixelated Space Invader figures that he’s known for with Rubik’s Cube-style mosaics featuring both reproductions of classic imagery and pop culture iconography — offers an interesting look at his range as an artist. Says Invader: “I’m happy to show my work at La Générale, an art place that costs the community the price of a bus shelter. I try to be as inventive and surprising in the gallery as in the streets.” Click through for a quick preview.
