We don’t usually hate on old people because we’ve got crazy mortality issues. And we certainly never thought we’d want to be mean to someone’s grandmother, especially when she’s a dead ringer for Granny Clampett. (We were huge fans of The Beverly Hillbillies when we were little.) That said, we want to give Carrie Prejean’s 89-year-old grandmother, Jeanette Coppola, a good kick in the curlers thanks to some choice quotes over on RadarOnline.com.
“I never knew there were so many gays out there!.. I don’t know why that gay guy Perez was even judging a contest with a bunch of girls. That doesn’t make any sense. He should be judging a Chippendale’s contest.”
Miss California Sr. is clearly off her rocker. Perez says that he’s praying for them both, which we would find a heckuvalot funnier if this wasn’t all going down in Prop 8-land. Ugh. We hope watching this will cheer you up. It worked for us.
