David Lynch to Open ‘Mulholland Drive’-Themed Nightclub

First, the good news: David Lynch — filmmaker, musician, meteorologist, coffee roaster — is taking on yet another career: club impresario. He’s opening Club Silencio, inspired by a night spot in his moody, mysterious 2001 film Mulholland Drive. The Guardian writes that the Lynch-designed venue “will reportedly include a concert hall, restaurant, library and cinema.” Ambitious! Exciting! Totally on our to-do list! Unfortunately, there is some bad news (for us Americans, at least): Club Silencio will be in Paris. Please, tell us it isn’t insane to subsist on instant ramen for months until we save up the money to make the trip. [via The Daily Beast]
