If you’re a Stars Wars enthusiast with $500 to burn, then we’ve got some exciting news for you: GalleyCat reports that Lucasfilm Archives and Epic Ink are joining forces to release Star Wars: The Blueprint, a limited-edition, franchise-spanning collection of 250 technical drawings for both the films’ sets and props.
“The unsung heroes of the art departments are the draftsmen, who drew in collaboration with their art department heads, but who also added their own ideas,” explains its author, J.W. Rinzler. “Their blueprints have an attribute that concept art lacks — a sense of the real.” While this epic tome isn’t due out until the fall (which gives you plenty of time to save up), you can check out a selection of the blueprints, as well the trailer for the book, after the jump.
