Watch David Lynch's 'Twin Peaks'-Inspired Ads for Japanese Coffee

Even though the second season of Twin Peaks was something of a disappointment, it was still so much better than almost everything else on TV that we sometimes wish for more of the show. That must be why we so thoroughly enjoyed David Lynch’s series of English-language commercials for the Japanese canned coffee brand Georgia, which are set in Twin Peaks and have our beloved Special Agent Dale Cooper — yes, Kyle McLachlan — helping a man find his missing wife. According to Lynchnet, Georgia had planned a series of four more ads with the filmmaker but were unhappy with the original trio of 40-second spots, which aired in 1993. As far as we’re concerned, they made a big mistake (and Lynch got the last laugh by creating his own coffee blend). Watch the clips after the jump.
