1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is out — and it’s racking up rave reviews. The film currently has a score of 87 on Metacritic and has been judged 97% fresh by Rotten Tomatoes. So, this is awkward: Emmy nominee Chris Colfer learned that he (along with Lea Michele and Cory Monteith) would be written out of Glee after Season 3 via Twitter, after Ryan Murphy revealed his plans in an interview. “I knew something like that was coming up eventually. I mean, we can’t be there forever,” he told The Hollywood Reporter — an incredibly classy response, considering the circumstances.

Disability activists are upset with Lady Gaga for performing “You and I” in a wheelchair in Sydney this week. “Since this isn’t the first time she has used a wheelchair in her performances, I invite her to learn more about the 5.6 million Americans who live with paralysis. They, like me, unfortunately, don’t use a wheelchair for shock value,” said Jesse Billauer of the Life Rolls on Foundation. [via NME ]

Congratulations to Rufus Wainwright, who has announced plans to marry Jorn Weisbrodt, his boyfriend of five years. “I’m engaged, and me and my partner live in New York and they just passed gay marriage in New York and I was like, ‘Goddamn it, now we really have to do this’,” he said.
