Gallery: Hyperrealistic Illustrations Interacting with their Paper World

Share:

Colombian artist Cesar Del Valle‘s hyperrealistic illustrations, which we spotted over at Colossal, are not only great drawings by an obviously talented artist, they’re also cheeky, almost postmodern, plays on perception and dimensionality. The subjects of Del Valle’s work explore, climb, balance on, and pick at the paper world in which they are encased, looking to flee from their artificial environment or just see what’s on the other side. Click through to see Del Valle’s work, and head over to Behance to see more, but whatever you do, make sure to look twice: these figures are on the verge of escape.
