When we heard, back in March, that the Beach Boys were finally going to release their long-lost album, Smile, we weren’t fully convinced that it would actually happen. So we were thrilled to discover that the band and EMI have taken two very big steps toward making it a reality — they’ve announced both a release date (November 1st) and a track listing for The Smile Sessions, a double album that will be available in about four different versions, including a box set, because it’s absolutely vital to squeeze every last possible cent out of “important” records these days.
