Exclusive: The One Where We Let Our Hair Down

If you live in New York, then MoMA was the place to be last Monday night; Flavorpill readers showed up in droves for the museum’s Monday Nights series, an evening each month where they stay open an extra three hours. What made this Monday night so special? First off, there was a bar, which is always a good thing. Flavorpill also brought in producer/musician Prefuse 73 to spin an eclectic set of weirdness that rivaled the exclusive podcast that he made for visitors to listen to while perusing the galleries. Finally, the evening doubled as our official launch of the Daily Dose, Flavorpill’s succinct, morning email of cultural inspiration, offering a quick look at what’s new in music, print, film, art, and new media. If you haven’t signed up for that yet, you’re dead to us. Not really, just do it already!

PS: If you did go, leave us your feedback in the comments. How about that bicycle valet, huh? What did you think of the León Ferrari/Mira Schendel exhibit? And most importantly, did anyone spot Sasha Frere-Jones in the crowd?
