Exciting, Worrisome Facebook Music Details Leak

Tech-heads have been whispering about Facebook Music for months, and it’s pretty obvious that it will launch at today’s f8 developer conference. (Synchronize your watches, geeks: the opening keynote is set to begin at 10am PT.) But thanks to creative director Ji Lee — who is almost certainly in some kind of trouble already — one promising feature has already been revealed. Last night, Lee tweeted, “The ‘Listen with your friend’ feature in ticker is blowing my mind. Listen to what your friends are listening. LIVE.” As TechCrunch explains, this means that the irritating, new “ticker” on the righthand side of your screen will tell you what song your Facebook friends are playing and then allow you to stream it, too. Gee, Facebook. That sounds a whole lot like Turntable.fm.
