Video of the Day: Lana Del Rey Gets Literal Video Treatment

Here at Flavorpill, we… well, let’s just say that we’re not entirely convinced by Lana Del Rey just yet. But whether you love her or hate her, there’s no doubt that the former Lizzy Grant has got the world of indie talking — so much so that her song “Video Games” is the latest to get the literal video treatment that’s been handed out in the past to the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, A-Ha and, most memorably, Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart”. If you’re not familiar with the idea, it involves replacing the song’s lyrics with a scene-by-scene description of what’s going on in the video. The literal “Video Games” is pretty hilarious, and you can see it after the jump. All together now: “Staring in my webcam/ Flowers open/ Here I am, tilting back my head…”
