If you watched The Simpsons last night, then you probably guessed that Ren & Stimpy creator John Kricfalusi was the man responsible for the crazy-looking couch gag in the opening credits. “Matt Groening and Al Jean [executive producer] asked me to do it,” he explained in an interview with Cartoon Brew. “They showed me an opening that Banksy did that satirized the animation production assembly line system in Korea and told me it was really popular, so they wanted to do something similar with me.” We’re not sure that we’ll ever look at Bart Simpson the same way again — all we will be able to see is Stimpy.
