Poietic Studio’s floating orchestra of ping-pong balls seems like a relatively simple concept, but it’s pretty impressive in its execution. Take several spheres and place them above an air compressor (19 to be exact). Control the whole apparatus with an iPhone app and a little wi-fi. Play music and marvel at your interactive instrument that gets super bouncy when listening to Benny Goodman tunes — the height of which determines the volume.
