Curl Up Inside a Human Nest

Share:

Artist Jayson Fann collaborated with the Treebones Resort to create a stunning “nest,” built from driftwood he collected around California’s Big Sur. The Human Nest can hold up to eight people — who can pitch a tent inside the shelter in the event of rain. Fann bent, twisted, and coiled nearly a thousand eucalyptus branches to construct his nest — which appears lightweight, but can actually measure up to two tons. That’s a little unnerving considering that the pseudo treehouse is held together with simple screws. We’d ignore that fact for a chance to curl up inside this dreamy retreat, though. Get a closer look at Fann’s design-savvy oasis past the break.
