What’s On at Flavorpill: The Links That Made the Rounds in Our Office

Today at Flavorpill, we learned how Matthew Weiner is planning to end Mad Men. We wanted to take a bite out of these adorable Muppets Cake Pops. We went inside of the personal libraries of some of our favorite authors. We couldn’t believe that a high school senior has been elected the mayor of Aredale, Iowa, after receiving 24 write-in votes. We watched Michael J. Fox re-enact the classic “Johnny B. Goode” scene from Back to the Future. We couldn’t believe how young Stephen Colbert looks in this old bank commercial. We listened to 11 sounds that no longer exist. We liked the idea of Chelsea Clinton as an NBC News correspondent. We were excited to see what Harry Potter helmer David Yates does with his forthcoming film adaptation of Doctor Who. We tried to pick a favorite from Mandie Manzano’s series of stained glass-style illustrations of Disney characters. And finally, we were a little worried by how much we enjoyed this supercut of every death from Season 1 of Game of Thrones set to Guns ‘n Roses’ “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.” Season 2 can’t start soon enough!
