Volunteer at Northside Festival, Get in Free [Reader Services]

We’re passing along this email from our friends at the Williamsburg Gallery Association because every morning for the past few weeks we’ve walked by a poster for the Northside Festival on our way to L train but we haven’t had the time to stop and find out it’s all about. As it turns out, it sounds really cool. (Check out the lineup and buy individual tix here.) And you can go for free!

Want to see four days worth of bands at over 25 venues in Williamsburg without spending a dime? Volunteer at Northside. We’re looking for people to help us out between June 10th and 14th. You’ll be assigned four-hour shifts either lending a hand at the registration booth or checking badges at the venues — relatively painless work with no experience necessary, although dependability is crucial. In return, you’ll be given badge privileges, granting you access to shows, gallery exhibits and other events outside your shift. We won’t even make you wear a nametag (although, a red T-shirt, yes). If you can work all five days, we’ll love you forever. If you can only work one, that’s cool too.

To apply, e-mail volunteers@northsidefestival.com with your name, age, availability and why you want to volunteer at Northside.
